Getting There

Located only 19 miles Northeast of Ogden, Utah. 55 miles North of the Salt Lake International Airport. From Salt Lake City: Take I-15 North to Ogden's 12th Street exit. Turn East and follow the signs through Ogden Canyon. From Park City: Take I-80 East to I-84 junction, then West on I-84 to exit 96 and follow the signs.

Snowcat Skiing: Powder Mountain offers two snowcat adventures, Lightning Ridge and Snowcat Powder Safari. Lightning Ridge snowcat is a short ride from the top of Sundown Lift to 700 acres of natural snow.  The cost is $12 per ride plus a lift pass.  The Snowcat Powder Safari is an all day excursion to 2,000 exclusive acres of glades, bowls and chutes. The adventure is limited to 10 guests per day and includes guides and lunch.  $300/person. 

Terrain Parks:  2 terrain parksRails and boxes are located on the Drifter Run at the Sundown Lift.  This park is designed for all levels and all ages.  It includes box-top rails, handrails and a table top.  It is open over 11 hours daily and is groomed nightly.The Hidden Lake terrain Park is designed for advanced level park riders. Larger more technical features such as the S-Box, Wall-Ride, and new Super-Spine line the entire length of the Hidden Lake Run. The halfpipe at Hidden Lake is 400 feet long, 40 feet wide and 8 to 12 feet tall.   The Hidden Lake Park is open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. seven days a week and is groomed nightly.  Adjacent to the Hidden Lake Park is the new Lumberjack area.  The new area features 6 wooden terrain park style features hidden in the trees.

Night skiing: At Sundown Lift, from 3:00pm to 9:00pm daily.  The Terrain Park is open on Drifter until 8:30pm.  A deck with logs burning in the firepit provides great ambiance. 

Ski Rental and Shops: A complete line of ski and snowboard rental equipment and a variety of accessories are available.  Sports shops are located at the Sundown Lodge and at Timberline Lodge.

Complimentary Tours:  A short orientation tour over groomed runs acquaints guests with lift and lodge system.  Tours depart daily outside the Powder Mountain Lodge on Drifter Trail at 10:00 a.m.

Mountain Adventure Tours: Mountain Adventure Pros (MAPS) lead groups of 6 or less on in-bound excursions.  Most guests are in search of the perfect powder run and the MAPS are the most knowledgeable in where to make fresh tracks.  Full and half-day guided powder tours are available all season long, seven days a week.  Tours may be requested on the day of a visit; however, advanced reservations are recommended.  Guides personalize tours based on the client’s skills, equipment and the day’s conditions.

  • Cobabe Canyon Tour:  For the intermediate that would love experiencing the serene high mountain woods and open powder bowls.
  • Lightning Ridge Tour:  For the expert skier/boarder whom wants to challenge themselves to 2104 vertical feet of powder in trees, open bowls and mountain faces.  Lightning Ridge is only accessible by a short snowcat ride. 
  • Ultimate Powder Tour:  For the extreme skier/boarder who would love the experience of a lifetime.  Ride endless powder bowls, chutes and steep faces.

    Half-day tour is $120 and a full day is $180/tour.  The full day tour includes one Lightning Ridge snowcat ride, weather and snow conditions permitting.  Up to six people can share a tour.   

     Snow Sports School: Certified professional staff has a program to fit the entire family. Group lessons include First Time Ski or Ride, SheSkis Women’s Clinic, and PowderKids.

From Airport: Follow I-215 to I-15 North. In 35 miles, take the 12th Street East Exit (Route 39).  Follow Route 39 East through Ogden Canyon.
At Pineview Dam, turn left onto Route 158 to Eden.  Follow signs. 
Route 158 ends at Powder Mountain.

Mountain Restaurants: Four Timberline  Lodge:
Upper level cafeteria is open for breakfast and lunch.  This restaurant offers      that widest range of menu items.  Specialties include homemade soups, grilled sandwiches and sourdough scones. 

Powder Keg offers a cozy fire, relaxing atmosphere, light breakfast, grilled sandwiches, and beers on tap.  8:30 am – 5:00pm weekdays (Weekends till 6:00pm)
